Hello New Teacher Friends!
Hello New Teacher Friends,
I am so excited that I have had this special invitation sent to me to be an author of Me and My Gang! My name is Mrs. Coe and I am the author of the Little Miss Kindergarten blog and the new Little Miss Hypothesis blog. I LOVE everything Kindergarten but I also LOVE to dabble in first and second grade adventures as well especially in after school Science and Math programs and summer programs too. I am a Science and Math Curriculum Writer and Trainer in my district. I love being creative and creating things for my classroom. I hope I can be a welcome addition to Me and My Gang... I am so happy to finally be here!
Have a wonderful week in the classroom.

Foldable Books Video and a Freebie!
So you make books for your kids? If not you should!
There are lots of different books you can find on the web, but most are very complex and take a lot of time! As a teacher, I don't have the time to cut the middle of this paper and slice this page or fold this one into that one! I need quick and simple!
So here's a little video I made for 3 of my favorite foldable books!
And of course a FREEBIE... a foldable alphabet book!
Have a great day!

Yuck Soup - Another Fun Alternative to Halloween!
Another fun project I like to do in October uses Joy Crowley's book Yuck Soup! It's an easy reader about monsters who put in all sorts of yucky things into a pot of soup. Who does not love yucky things in October?
We like to make Kindergarten Soup! It's much more delicious! We have each student bring in a bag or box of crackers, cookies, or whatever and mix it into one of those giant cauldron's. It's really fun and makes a great snack!
The project includes 2 parent letter options, a class book page for several grade levels (and a generic one,) and a graphing activity.
This is another great alternative to doing Halloween things at school!
